Yes, Happy Steak & Knobber Day to all! Bring Back the DSC! I knew about this holiday last year, however, it was too late to celebrate. I have informed the wife and friends. We shall see what happens. If I don’t get a shirt as a gift, I will order one for next years BIG EVENT!

I was turned on to Steak & Knobber Day while living on North Padre Island/Corpus Christi Texas.

Now I’m in Awesome Fort Collins, Colorado & I’m doing my park to spread the word about Steak & Knobber Day here in Fort Fun !!

In fact I’m auditioning Knobettes for this famous day from dark till dawn nightly. So…… let’s get on FaceBook and start the Knob, I mean ball rolling.

The Day Laughter Died in San Diego at 101.5 KGB.

You might ask yourself, “Who Came Up With This Wonderful Holiday?” Well it was a the members of a morning radio show, Dave Rickards, Shelly Dunn and Cookie Chainsaw Randolph.

101.5 KGB listeners were told that the DSC “were no longer on the air” at the classic rock station at the beginning of this year.

Best email quote: “Damn. This is the sign. “Radio as we know it, is officially dead now.””

While there are many rumors on where Dave Rickards, Shelly Dunn, Cookie Chainsaw Randolph, along with Chris Boyer and Ruth 66 may be going …. it’s a Stay Tuned for now.

This is terrible news… I feel like I’ve lost family members. See you wherever you surface DSC…
Love you guys… love your show!!!! Clear Channel Communications SUCKS!!!.

Thanks for spreading the news about this Holiday. I’m sure some day soon it will surpass Valentines Day.
I also hope that some day soon that Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw will be back on the air here in Beautiful San Diego California. They did come up with this wonderful Holiday and all of us guys will forever owe them Big Time.
The DSC was on 101.5 KGB FM but the owners and operators, “Clear Channel Communications” thought it would be better to take them off the air a year before their contracts were up. So now mornings Suck in San Diego, thanks to Clear Channel Communications. Help us get them back on the air. We need them more than coffee. Come on – We owe them one…

Hi Robin… Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. If you do some research you will see that Steak and Knobber Day was created back in 1998 by some radio disc-jockeys in San Diego… several years before they created Steak and BJ Day. This site is much newer than the one you are referring to, as no one had ever created a website for Steak and Knobber Day… so I took the intuitive.

Steak and BJ day has always been March 14th, not the 20th. WTF people?
The 14th has significance. It’s a month after V day. I’ve been celebrating for at least 7 years now.

steakandbjday.com was the original. How long has this site been around? yeah. thought so.

Greeting from Tijuana, Mexico and Happy Steak and Knobber day for all you wonderfull, hardworking guys out there!

This should be an international holiday!

My husband and I have been celebrating for about 3 years now but this year was the one that really got me motivated, I sent and email to all my girl and boy friends so they could celebrate this great holiday, and of course, everyone has already made plans for tonight!

My husband is really excited about today March 20th and so am I.

Well I hope we have a great turnout this year, thanks to DSC for this great day! Awesome morning show!
